  • Stroll, stroll, stroll in ze woods

I think I'm going to treat you all today with some photos I took while hiking yesterday. I hike these trails alot, so I know them like the back of my hand (which I do keep tabs on). Of course, I will try to keep you all entertained. Enjoy!

Nothing says welcome quite like an unexploded ordnance sign.

The beavers in these woods are getting quite efficient.

I love the shade. It keeps everything nice and coo- SQUIRREL!

You sit on it, but you can't take it with you.

Finally, something I approve my tax dollars paying for!

This beehive is about two years old, and it keeps getting busier each time I pass.

The lightning struck tree: a preclude to danger.

    Out of death... life!

I found a dinosaur! Hi there...

Nothing wity to say; I just thought this picture looked pretty.

Glad I don't have to hike through there. It flew away before I could snap a picture, but I did get to see a blue heron. Those things are beasts and creep the heck out of me.

i'm on ur water, skatin on ur surfis tenshion. (Okay, I suppose it's a poor picture. Sorry)

Pictures of lily... make my life so wonderful~

Grass grown to this height for maximum ankle itchiness.

Bringing back memories of the Channelwood Age.

It's a tire! There are actually alot of tires submerged up and down this river that bisects the trail. I counted at least seven. I wanted to get pictures of them on this hike, but unfortunately the water level was high and it was extremely murky today. Oh well.

Alot of people say I have a short attention span, what with the squirrels and all, but I have to sa- TURTLE!

And they say walking under a ladder is bad luck.

That unexploded ordnance sign comes readily to mind.

This must be one of my favorite parts of the trail. It may be sunny and hot, but it is just so quiet. No cars, no people, no creaking trees. All that you hear is the wind and maybe an occassional eagle in the distance. It is just so nice. It also made the half-way point of this hike. I could've gone further into the woods again, but there wasn't much photo-worthy. I decided to turn back and call it a short day (I was starting to get hungry anyway. It was getting close to lunchtime).

Sigh... tick number three today. The one side effect of walking through a grassy meadow.

Another tire in a different stream. I just don't know how they get this deep into the woods. I can only assume the military has in fact created flying cars, but they keep exploding in midair.

This tree has places to go. Gotta watch out for those exploding cars.

Remember Fern Gully? Gods, I hated that movie.

Anyway, those are all the pictures I took that were worth posting.
