Month: November 2004

  • Crikey, it's been a while since I updated, but I have a perfectly good explanation for it. Before I begin, I know I said I would make a 1337 guide, but to be honest I'm too lazy. So go screw yourself.

Now, for my reasoning. Since my Dad lives in Korea, I don't get to see him too much. Fortunately, this thanksgiving he came home and I got to see him.  Anyway, since he wasn't going to be here for christmas, we got to get our presents early. LIKE A WHOLE MONTH EARLY! w00t!!!!!!1! Here is a rundown of my spoils:

Jak 3 PS2 ~ Very fun game. Lots of nifty fights and a Mad Max inspired world. The only problem is that it's so friggin' short. I beat the game in ~15 hours. Bummer.

Kirby and the Amazing Mirror GBA ~ OMFG! It's a new Kirby game. It's not as good as Superstar, but dang it's still fun!

Soul Calibur II PS2 ~ That's right, I just now got this game. And that's right, I got it for PS2. If you got a problem, well, go screw yourself. You'll burn in hell. Anywho, it's a fun game and I can safely say my favorite fighter is Talim. (w00t)

Star Wars Trilogy DVD ~ OMFG!!!!1 I finally got it! All of sunday was spent watching Star Wars (that's right, even the crappy ep. 1 and 2).

Hawaiian Shirt Clothing ~ No explaination necessary.

  • Alrighty. In case you have not yet realized, I am a nerdy kind of guy; therefore, I use words and phrases that other people may not. That's why, for the untrained (cool) masses. I offer you a...

Quick Quide to 1337 (leet) and other video-gaming lingo

OMFG!: Translated into meaning "Oh My F***ing God!"
WTF?: Translated into meaning "What the F***?"
w00t!: 1. A general declaration of excitement. Roughly translated, it means "Woo-Hoo!" 2. With -ness suffix, it becomes an adjective that proclaims the noun will cause you to announce "Woo-Hoo!"
    d00d: Translated into meaning "dude"
    j00: Translated into meaning "You"
pwnZor3d: There are various ways of spelling this, but all of them mean "I have beaten you horribly"
    Lmao: Translate into meaning "loser"
    haXor: A skilled computer user
suXor: An adjective used to describe a person of little skill. (ex. "j00 = t3h suXor!!!!1!" means "You have little skill.")
ns: Translated into meaning "Nice shot"
n00b: Translated into meaning "one who is new"
n00b cannon: A very powerful and easy to use weapon that n00b's tend to use to get an edge.

Now that you know some general vocabulary, I can begin on proper 1337 grammar. But I'll save that for another day. Until then, p34c3 0u+ j00 L0Z3r$!!!!!!!1!

  • This is a really unimportant post, but I found a really cool looking gif! Check it out:

  • You take them for granted, but they are an ever growing force that will soon take over the world. Or has it already? I am talking, of course, about the search engine. Observe as study one of my favorite search engine's conquests...

Jeeves' Plot to Take Over the World!

Jeeves originated in the U.S. and took it over summarilly on 7 April 1996. It originally began at askjeeves.com, but was eventually shortened to ask.com. Jeeves is likely to continue to grow.
    Jeeves in America!

Not only did Jeeves take over America, he is beginning to take over other countries. Some of his current possesions include:
    The U.K.
    -and-
    Japan

At least he has not yet taken over
    Spain
    -or-
    China

Jeeves is an unstoppable force and will soon topple all who stands before him. All except, perhaps, Afghanistan. I don't think he would like to conquer that country anyway.

  • I just realized that I have quite a few entries now. That's odd. Anyway, for anybody who doesn't know me, here is a list of some of my...

  • Why I Hate Action Animes

#1: Action animes follow a general chain of events. It opens with an intro to characters, and also an intro to some big enemy. A fight ensues. The usually long-winded fight is ended and is followed by some sort of intermission where new moves are learned and/or new characters are introduced. Soon a new enemy is introduced and the process is repeated.
#2: Action anime fights follow a general chain of events. The fighters are usually equal, or the enemy has an advantage (the good guy(s) never has an advantage). If one doesn't already have one, a fighter gains an advantage. After the disadvantaged side gets pwnzored for a while, that fighter gains some sort of strength and the fighters are tied again. Repeat as necessary until the "good" guy(s) win.
#3: Fights are unnecessarily long-winded. Throughout the fights, characters often ramble about how cool and/or screwed-up they are. There are also enough pauses for fighters to have epiphinies and/or flashbacks.
#4: Every fighter has at least one attack that's outrageously powerful and cool-looking, but is only supposed to be used in a life-threatening situation. Also, the opponent tends to wait patiently for the attack to charge up, which leads to...
#5: All non-physical attacks require some form of charge-up time. All of them. Generally, the cooler the attack, the longer the time to charge.
#6: Every series has a fighters' tournament. Every single one. It's getting old, really quick.

This is an incomplete list, but I hope it opens some eyes.

  • And now...

    A Fictional Anecdote
    By: Jimbo

So anyway, one day I turn to this guy and says to him, "Sup?"

The guy turns to me and he's all like, "Sup?"

So I says to the guy, "nothin' much."

And then the guy gets all mad at me and he's like, "are you tryin' to make a pass at my girlfriend?"

So I sensed his irritation and says to him, "what chu talkin' 'bout?"

And then the guy gets really ticked and is all like, "and what's that supposed to mean?"

And I all like punched him in the face.

    THE END

  • Oh yeah, I am too 1337 for this world! I entered a short story contest for my library and totally pwnzored the competition. At least, that's one of the two options. It's more likely that I am the only one that entered in my age bracket. Either way, I won a certificate of participation and, more importantly, A GIFT CERTIFICATE TO BARNES & NOBLE! That's going straight to the purchase of some manga! Oh yeah! The story should be posted on the library web site some time next week. It might come sooner if I ever get around to, you know, putting it on the internet myself.

Oh yeah, one other thing... Vote or DIE!*

    * I mean in the Coolest Cats contest. See the post below the post previous to this one.
