  • Oh yeah! I am now 18! Happy birthday me! Check out some of the guests that frequented my blowout...

    Don Corleone

Tony Montana couldn't make it, but he did send a nice card...

I wish! Even though I can't spend my birthday with a group of friends, I do get to celebrate the next best way, alone. No family to bother me, so I can spend my day doing what I want. Later this evening I'll probably have some pizza and go to the movie theater. Oh yeah, and I have to buy a scratch-off. Ah, it's great being "mature".

  • I actually left the house today. Granted, it was only to take out the trash and mow the lawn, but still! It's the principle of the thing!

I'm also fiddling with my lay-out. Yeah!

Oh, and my AP test scores have come in. I got a 3 on my English exam. No big surprise there. My school accepted that score, and I'm just movin' on up. On a far more surprising note, I got a bloody 4 on my Psychology test. How the hell did that happen!? I could have sworn I flunked it. It's all a bit queer if you ask me. Kind of like the word svelte. What's up with that?

  • This morning I was bored and I decided to do to movies what I did for gaming. That's right, I made a list of my top 25 movies of all time. Keep in mind that I tried to limit my list to one of each, I dunno, type of movie. Example: I only have one Star Wars, one Miyazaki, one Mel Brooks... you get the picture. Mind you, I tried. There are bound to be some discrepancies. Looking now, I see that I have two Waynes brothers' movies. Whatever...

  • Man, it's boring down here. Though, that has been the story of my summer thus far. After graduation and up until June 22nd, I was stuck inside government housing (which is CRAP) until we closed on the new house. There, I mostly played Tales of Symphonia while my dad was at work. This makes my tally of RPGs that I have played the whole way through up to three. When I moved into the house, I was left with just a bed and my video game systems (sans a TV) until July 1st when the furniture came. Thank God I got my library card. I passed much of my time reading Myst: The Book of D'ni and The Divine Comedy. I didn't get to finish the latter however. I was about to start purgatory when I just plum got tired of it. Whatever. Now, about a month later, we are almost completely unpacked and my dad and "legal guardian" are going to Maryland for business. Bastards. I wanted to go but I have to man the fort. However, that does mean I get free reign to the house in their stead. Food supplies are already running low and I may actually have to leave the house, something which I dread doing above all else because it is so freakin' hot in this state. My dad got me the new Harry Potter book to pass the time. Funny thing is, I picked up from Wal-Mart a few days prior, so I had to return it and got my money back. With this money, I picked up Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers for the PS2 from the bargain bin. Legolas all the way biznatches. When I'm not playing LotR, I'm playing a semi-old computer game called Patrician II. Quite fun indeed.

And that was my summer, thus far. Be sure to tune in some other time, like when I start college in about a month. Midlands Technical College! Associate in Science! ... big fat hairy deal. Peace out.

  • Approximately three days, 12 hours, and five minutes until I am 18 years of age... and I am still nowhere near being mature. Oh well.

  • Dang, San Andreas has now been rated AO as a result of the so-called 'Hot Coffee' mod. Anybody who wants to know more should read this article and this one. It's a shame really. It is such a great game and does not deserve this kind of flak. I think I'll go play it and show those punks whose the man!
