  • Today was my first day of college. I was not impressed. I expected high-gloss, heavy duty teaching. But all I got was High School v1.1. All the way down to the stained carpeting and crap-tacular projectors. Also, my English 102 class is, essentially, AP English all over again. Even the hideous timed writes are making an unwelcome return. Anyway, my day went as follows:

    1. I started off with English after taking about 15 minutes to try to find a parking space. I was then introduced to AP English all over again. The syllabus and course description was handed out and explained, then class ended. I then quickly sprinted to...

    2. College Trig. I got plopped into this class because apparently I "went above and beyond" on my college entrance exam. I thought the test was a piece of cake and if I did that well, this school is desperate. This sticks me in a bad spot because I am surrounded by numb-skulls (not to mention pot-heads and "oh-my-god girls"). Anyway, Trig was nothing special. We began reviewing Arcs and Angles; the teacher said eff the syllabus and description. We heard it all before. After class...

    3. I had lunch, which consisted entirely of one Butterfinger Crunch bar. After my very satisfying meal, I went to...

    4. Film as Art, or ART-105. Basically, all that was said in this class is that almost all of it is done online, while we watch and take notes on movies in class. Lovely. And now I'm here

On a completely unrelated note, my car just hit 100,000 miles on the way back home. Just thought I'd put it out there. Peace.
