  • The Wet Stuff

I usually try to avoid outright complaints on my blog, but there is something I want to get off of my mind. I am sick and tired of beverage companies putting extra stuff in my water. When I pick up a bottle of water, that's all I want: just water. I don't want it "enhanced with minerals for a pure, fresh taste." I don't want things like potassium chloride or magnesium sulfate. They are completely unnecessary. The ultimate offender, and source of my distaste, is Coca-Cola's Dasani. It contains the two minerals I mentioned above, which are types of salt, and even has the audacity to include actual salt. They put salt in their water! If I wanted that, I'd take a trip to the beach and slug down some ocean water. With all of that plankton in there, it would probably be better for you. Gotta eat your greens, right? Evian is equally terrible. I don't know how those stuck-up divas drink the stuff. That's why I bottle my own water. It costs a little extra to rent the large water purification building, but it's worth it every time I want to wet my whistle.

  • Still Busy

Sorry, I'm still working hard. See, here's a picture of me feigning productivity at work!

They have cameras there for taking pictures of people, but they are of low quality. In an unrelated note...

    THIS. IS. AMERICAAAAAA!

  • Poll Results

Well, I thought I would give my poll results a look over, and I must say that I am fairly satisfied. There are several Firefox users, which is good. Opera is good too, and I'm rather curious as to what the "other" might be. I am saddened to see that two of my readers use Internet Explorer. They should be ashamed of themselves. I want those people to visit this link now and get Firefox:

    Get Firefox!

Ahem, with that being said, the time has come for a new poll question. I am open for suggestions.

  • Some Things to Notice

Once more, this will be a quick post. I just wanted to point out a couple of things on my Xanga front page that some of you may miss. First is my poll on the right. If you haven't already, please put in an answer. I hope to update it with a new one eventually. On the left side of the site, near to the bottom, is a list of other web sites that I recommend visiting. It's a scroll box, so move the scrollbar down to see even more. At the very bottom of the page is a bunch of my statistics from various sites. The middle shows my Xfire stats that log the hours of video games I play on my computer. Not a lot happening there this week. Below it is my Last.fm statistics, which list how many songs I play on my computer. What it shows is my most frequently played bands. Boston, naturally, is at the top. To the right (below the cat-girl warning), is a little display that shows what anime is currently taking up my time. That's about it. Keep an eye out for more! Also, if you have any suggestions on what you might want added, don't hesitate to make a suggestion.

  • Sorry for the Cheesy Clipshow

Sorry you lot, but all this week I really have to cram for a bunch of exams that are coming up. It's not fun one bit, but it must be done. To help you (the reader) kill some time, I thought I would dig through the vaults of my blog and give you a link to all of the posts in my "Some Thoughts" series. Enjoy!

    Some Thoughts

    * I think I lost count on this one.

  • I'm Busy

While I'm busy with my new toy, go ahead and enjoy these two videos. I recommend watching them in order (top to bottom). If you have the guts, try watching them synched up. It's super fun.

  • Video Game Update

Today is Sunday, April 22nd. Today, a very important game comes out. Specifically, I mean Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. Now, I asked about these games at my local GameStops (there are three of them within one mile of each other. I am dead serious), and they each said that they had over two-hundred preorders. With that being said, my getting one of the games is very slim. I will still try, but chances are that I will not find one. If I do get one, I can leave with the knowledge that I made some little kid who wanted one cry.

Another important game update is the release date of Rune Factory: A Fantasy (or Fantacy) Harvest Moon. It is currently slated for July 7, 2007. As is normal for a Harvest Moon game, it carries a "use of alcohol" warning on its ESRB rating, but this time it adds something new to the mix.

That's right: Rune Factory brings fantasy-fighting into the mix. While this is old news for a Harvest Moon buff like myself, I am hoping to get lots of people to get this game when it comes out. Here is a gameplay video straight from Natsume (and as a corollary, ripped to YouTube):

  • Real-Time Workout

Y’know, I’m starting to think various bookstores
are attempting to get people into shape. They do so in very subtle ways, but it
becomes apparent when you look around. For some examples, I will mostly focus
on the Borders bookstore near my house, but I have seen other examples. To
begin with, you have the doors. I don’t know when it happened, but at some
point stores began putting in big, heavy doors. The doors at my store are only
a little larger than the Brandenburg Gate and are composed of wood-paneled
lead. You need to put some serious muscle into opening one of these doors. If
you failed to eat your Wheaties that morning, you would probably lose a lung. The
next item to note is how the store is arranged. They put all of the workout
and… lewd books in the front because they figure the people who read those
books get enough activity in their lives. They save the more intellectual
(geeky) books for the back of the store. I generally enter the store and start
walking, and about three hours later I can finally see the shelves of manga,
computer books, and science textbooks appear on the horizon. Clearly, they
think the people who read these books could do with the extra exercise. I
should protest these abominations, but I don’t feel like getting up.

This just in! The release date for Rune Factory has been (sort of) announced. It is currently set for a July 2007 release. More news as events warrant!
