  • Anime Season Wrap-up

Alright, the anime season is coming to a close, so let me
give you my thoughts on some of the series I have been following, as well as a
preview of some of the others I hope to latch onto. I'll try to list them in the order of my favorites. Let us start with...

Otani's jealousy just rose to... over nine-thousand!?

Lovely Complex (2 episodes remaining) - I love this series.
It has definitely become one of my favorites. There are still a few episodes
left for me to see, but the ending looks to be a good one. The show had a
perfect mix (for me) of romance, comedy, and drama.

It is important not to lose one's head in love

School Days (finished airing) - This is one of
the better series this season. It began as a generic love-triangle, and then it
gradually turned into a filthy smut-fest. It finally wrapped up with its
brutally violent ending. I highly recommend it to those who are not faint of
    heart.

Seto no Hanayome (1 episode remaining) - This is a pretty
funny anime that I am enjoying immensely. I'm rather sad that it is coming to a
close, but its time has come. I've had my laughs, and I'm ready to see what the
male protagonist's final choice will be.

    All units, prepare for battle

Lucky Star (finished airing) - This series was
all hype. It was okay and had its funny moments, but it was rather boring most
of the time. All it really did was ride the wake of Haruhi Suzumiya.

    The crowd goes wild.

Umisho (2 episodes remaining) - This series is
okay. It's not going to win any awards here, but it wasn't terrible. It was a
fun anime that filled in the gaps between some of the more pressing shows. It's
almost over, and I don't really have much to say about it. I just wish this one
had more of a story to it.

Nagasarate Airantou (1 episode remaining) - The world needs
more harem-anime. Thankfully, this series is here to fill in this required
block. It's not the best, but it gets the dirty job done. Honestly, I thought
this anime dragged on longer than it needed to. It was fun, but I'm glad it's
    almost over.

Another example of the "he should have died" ending

Code-E (finished airing) - This was a poor excuse of an
anime. It had a great concept, a girl who emitted EMPs when experienced a hefty
emotional shift, but dropped the ball when it rushed the ending, which was
complete crap. It tied up none of the endings. It left it open for a second
season, but it should not have been necessary for such a mediocre series.

Code Geass (finished airing) - I waited two months to see
the ending and I got that crap? I have nothing more to say about this series.

The series that I am looking forward to in the coming season...

    Clannad

    Myself; Yourself

    Da Capo II

ef - a tale of memories

  • Didn't Lucky Star just seem like a big huge ad for Haruhi 2, much less anything Kyoto Animation related?
Hopefully Clannad will be able to pull itself away from the Haruhi Wake, and end up being awesome like Kanon was.

  • Lucky Star + Lovely Complex = lovelovelove!

And! for once, I didn't think that the Lovely Complex anime was worse than the manga. I think they both had their own strong points and their own weak points. But, both are fantastic. Lucky Star was just pure hilarious fluff, comedy, slice-of-life, feel-good anime, a rather anticipated break from my usual gorey, angsty, tragic animes/mangas. ;____;"

Some of those animes look really exciting; I'll definitely have to check them out!
