  • The need for a lazy man's scholarship

I always hear people telling me that
scholarships are so easy to get, but in my experience they are tougher than
hieroglyphic algebra. It's probably because I'm so generic. I'm just your
average white, middle-class male with no sports talent. While I am, pardon the
lack of modesty, smarter than most, many of the academic scholarships are won
by people who are waaaaaay. smarter than I is. The internet
doesn't make things easier. Most of the good scholarship sites are already
flooded with member more qualified than I am, so I'm probably more likely to
win the lottery. The good money's probably on the lottery. This is all old
news, of course (I think I may have already had a post like this a while ago).
Recently, I had an epiphany. I remembered my old high school guidance counselor
tell me to seek out scholarships that few people would apply for. Since most of
the words out of her mouth were puffs of hot air anyway, I didn't pay it much
heed. Now I think I see what she meant. I should start applying for some of the
socially evil scholarships. Since I am a white guy and can probably pass myself
off as Christian, I may be able to get some white supremacist money. Maybe even
some Neo-Nazis with all of the German in me. I wonder if some of those
self-extinction nuts would be willing to give me some money. They probably
won't need it anyway. I only worry about what some of these schmucks would make
me do to earn their money. I can write an essay on any old topic, but I don't
really think I want to "lynch some niggers" just for a couple hundred
    bucks.

  • @__@ Yeah the only scholarships I got were grants from the school and a miniscule one I got way too late from the state, but then the school just deducted that from their grant!
I say just don't worry about it. Whatever the cost it, it is worth it. Loans, loans, loans, and you can worry about them later. ^_~

  • Curses to the financial aid system. Here I am, this middle class Native-American citizen and not a single little scholarship to me. We should have kicked the pilgrims asses when we had the chance. What then? No America, thats what, and you know what else, no stupid overpriced college system. Then we wouldn't have this problem in the first place.

  • That pic is soooooo cute btw. :) Love lolcats.

  • While it is true that applying to socially taboo scholarships might get you money other people wouldn't give you, the requirements take up a lot of time. I mean, genocide is extremely time consuming and would probably take your attention away from your school work, which would cause you to get kicked out of school, eliminating the need for the money

  • I have the same problem as a white, middle class, female, with no socially usefully talents, that has never had a life threating deases. And even though i am smarter than the general popultion, i am in no way smart enough for the academic scholarships. The real question with socially taboo scholarships is are you willing to comprise your morals for money? From the looks of it no.

I have a good idea though, your profile says you were born in like 86 or 87 (i cant remember which) and you were born in Germany. So assuming you were born in East Germany you would have been born in a communist county. So why dont you apply for some communist scholorships, they are fucking easy to write (i once had to write a paper from a communist view and it was cake) and they dont really require much racism. The only downfall would be that the government would probiliy blacklist you =)

  • I've only gotten two scholarships so far, and after hearing my mother say, "Scholarship, scholarship, scholarship!" until my ears were ready to explode, I want to say, "F*** it!  I'll declare bankrupt and get a clean slate!"

I don't get why these schools need so much money anyway...

    ~ Peace and Love
